5 Ways to stay Grateful


Gratitude is the first rule of happiness if we are not thankful for what we already have then we will have a hard time ever being happy. This is part of the journey to being more Mindful. See our 5 ways to stay grateful below: 


Write down at least 10 things you are grateful everyday. This is best to do in the morning so it is fresh in your mind which leads you to feel more positive throughout the rest of your day. It is not enough to just say them you have to put pen to paper for this to really work. Doing this as part of your daily routine is a great way to build momentum.  

2. Say THANK YOU more often

Expressing gratitude verbally is always nice. It makes us feel good to tell someone that we appreciate them and it will make them feel good too. WIN - WIN. 

3. Be Present

Live in the moment and appreciate the little things. This can be difficult especially with all the do to lists floating around in our heads and our phones as distractions but give it a try. 

4. Take time for yourself

Do you come home and just feel deflated? Taking time for yourself even just 30 minutes to Nap, Read, work out or watch your favourite programme. This will re charge your mind and body so that you will feel grateful and in turn happier. 

5. Use Positive Language

We are all guilty of moaning and venting about our problems and there is nothing wrong with getting things of your chest, but be aware of the language you use on a daily basis. If it is more negative them positive then you are doing something wrong. Try to tip the scales slightly even if you are using 51% more positive language, then negative it will have a huge effect on your day.
